WHAT OLD GRUFFY NEEDS

Now to start with old Gruffy isn't all bad he just has these spells that come upon him. 

 

Often it is after viewing the News but usually and unfortunately it is brought on by some inner lack within himself.

He is a victim of short shifting and he spins his wheels but gets nowhere. The result of this is that he expends energy but the only evidence of this is a couple of black marks on the pavement.

When this happens he must deflect his feeling of inferiority on to someone else.

This redeems him from his failure and he can face the world again with integrity.

Of course the deflective victim now bears the guilt imputed to it and has to devise a method of neutralizing it for it's own survival. Who is this victim you ask?  Well Gruffy will expel this venom on any nearby victim but the favorite target is what is commonly called, "The Wife".

The Wife, the one who is put upon unjustly, but is essential for the survival of old Gruffy.  She must call upon all of her skills and tools to soothe the gruff one when the evil spirit comes upon him.

He must be praised for attributes that are nonexistent in his eyes, and calm him with food and drink.  

Lastly she must exorcize the evil spirit from the bedroom with womanly powers for she must never let the sun go down upon old Gruffy's wrath.

P.S. Now some of you women would swear that I had been spying on you for you think I was describing the thing you married.  I suppose if the shoe fits, but no what I described is a common malady of most men and especially reflections from my mirror.  

Us guys are aware of issue but we have learned to live with it and it doesn't bother us at all.
