SAY WHAT?

I Do

Do you want to change your world?  Get married!

Suddenly you have a cast of the past. Your bosom friends will drop off one by one for you have entered into a new dimension which they do not fit into comfortably.

Your interests begin to change. While they are looking for it you have found it and must move on.  There will be attempts to hinder your progress by telling of their new conquests and failures. Attempts to get you to solve their problems or commiserate with them will only keep you in their zone and affect your relationship with your mate.

What applies to the wife also applies to the husband you have to move past the "cast of the past."

It takes a rejection of the single life before you can embrace the married status.

The scripture says; "No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. The same thing applies to the single/married state.

Your self interests lies in the future as a married person and the quicker you can accept this new you the faster you mature into the MR/MRS mentality which is a key to a successful marriage.

You rejected the single life by saying "I DO" and it will profit you little or none to still dwell on it. Thinking on the old pleasures will hamper maximizing new pleasures.

Mark 2:22 And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. If he does, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the wineskins will be ruined. No, he pours new wine into new wineskins."

And so it goes, wisdom moves on to marital maturity, to do otherwise is confusion coupled with disappointment.
