FULL FAMILY RIGHTS

Unless you are abusive parents your kids probably act like they own the place.

Parents of young school age or teenage kids are a study in themselves.

Left to their own devices they don't ever hesitate to make themselves right at home which forces the parents to have to put on the brakes on occasion.

In my case being older and the kids are gone with children of their own, so my dogs have taken up where the kids left off.  Anytime there is a door left open they come sailing in and prop themselves down with tails awaggin.  If they are intruding at the wrong time I use the word, "Out".

Sometimes they wait to make sure I mean it and then I use a more forceful, "Out" which usually gets them headed for the door.  But once in awhile they pretend not to hear me and then they get my (just short of whacking them with the broom) most demanding "Out" and that clears the room in a hurry.

But the bottom line is they think they have "Family Rights" and feel right at home with us.

If they are bad and mess up they think that if they sidle up to me and wag their tail all will be forgiven and usually they are right. That is the equivalent a Christian confessing their short coming to GOD as in; 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

One of the main goals for a Christian is to be comfortable in the presence of GOD. To attain to the attitude of having full family rights where you can come in and sit down without any condemnation. If you feel you fall short of this feeling then there is a quick fix for that.

Psalm 15:1-2 A Psalm of David. LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? Who shall dwell in thy holy hill? He that walks uprightly, and works righteousness, and speaks the truth in his heart.

Isaiah 57:2 He enters into peace; they rest in their beds who walk in their uprightness.

Psalm 84:11 The LORD God is our protector and glorious king. He blesses us with kindness and honor. The LORD freely gives every good thing to those who do what is right.

You could fall short of this blessing of intimacy with GOD; perhaps it is just a step away.

Your walk before HIM must be the walk of the righteous in order to enjoy your full family rights in Christ.
