Mark 8:38 If you are ashamed of me and of my teaching in this godless and wicked day, then the Son of Man will be ashamed of you when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels."
These defining words were spoken for a reason! Jesus knew that under the right circumstances believers might become reticent and not stand up for their belief in Him. Have you ever redden when asked about your faith and tried to not say something that might offend someone or make them uncomfortable? I would guess most all have been put into such a scenario and have hedged a little.
We are admonished to; 1 Peter 3:15 But have reverence for Christ in your hearts, and honor him as Lord. Be ready at all times to answer anyone who asks you to explain the hope you have in you, but do it with gentleness and respect.
Can you pledge from this day forward that you will obey 1 Peter 3:15 and never again allow your testimony for Christ be diminished because of being ashamed of Christ and his sayings?
