MASTER OR ??

GOD makes a wonderful master but a very poor servant.

It is very easy to misconstrue the relationship between GOD and man due to the fact there are so many promises in scripture.

Along with the conditional promises there are a myriad of conditioning commandments that prepare us for being the recipients of this grace.

Whether we like it or not our attitude and conduct reflects our opinion of who GOD is and what we think of HIM.

We may have all our excuses and reasons for how we act but it is always a reflection of how we view GOD and HIS MAJESTY.

Any misconduct on our part diminishes GOD in our sight and reduces HIS power on our behalf for faith is weakened and the FATHER son relationship is strained to the degree of commission of offence.

We would like to think that uttering words of repentance changes everything, but such is not the case. It may bring forgiveness but it does not restore the respect necessary for a walk with GOD (only obedience to HIM can do that).

Living in the need for constant forgiveness shows constant disrespect of GOD almighty and HIS word.

The Old Testament is filled with people who walked contrary to GOD'S commandments and the judgment that fell upon them.

Being under grace instead of law mitigates the judgment somewhat but not altogether.

GOD'S attitude toward this disrespect of HIS grace will not go unnoticed or unpunished.

2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves to see if your faith is genuine. Test yourselves. Surely you know that Jesus Christ is among you; if not, you have failed the test of genuine faith.

James 1:21 So get rid of all the filth and evil in your lives, and humbly accept the word God has planted in your hearts, for it has the power to save your souls.  (And will make a difference in HOW you think of GOD).
