GLORY, GLORY

One of the hardest things to do is give GOD glory when we are carrying a burden; it saps the entire shout out of us.

Eccl. 12:5 When the almond tree blossoms, the grasshopper is a burden.

How often, does that which should be a blessing, is hampered by an unwanted issue.

Burdens come in at least two varieties; one is the kind where you have no control over and the other is that which you must deal with.

These problems have been written about in poems and songs like “Burdens are lifted at Calvary, and Take your burden to the LORD and leave it there.

If the world from you withhold of it’s silver and it’s gold,
And you have to get along on meager fare,
Just remember in his word, how he feeds the little bird;
Take your burden to the LORD and leave it there.
Leave it there, leave it there,
Take your burden to the LORD and leave it there.
If you trust and never doubt, he will surely bring you out.
Take your burden to the LORD and leave it there

The things you can’t control must be dealt with, and the way to deal with them is to cast all your care upon the LORD, and leave it there.

Someone might say “that doesn’t work”, and that is true if you still hold on to it. It requires you to release it and “trust and never doubt” and HE, NOT YOU will surely bring you out.

Just give it a sling and let the LORD deal with it. Problems can't be ignored and hope they will go away.

Now as to the things that are to be borne. There are some things that have to be dealt with; there is no way to go around it.

There are too many things to mention, but issues like health, money, and problems with relationships. The kids are acting like a fool. The husband or wife has lost their mind, they also can’t be ignored and hope they will go away.

The first thing you need to do is to follow Jesus’ example, when he had issues He prayed.  He “Had a little talk with the Father” and when he finished, he then took the next step.

There is one thing that is common to all Christians and that is the ability to “be strong in the Lord and in the power of HIS might.”

As strange as it seems not every Christian takes advantage of this and it shows when the crisis comes.

Being strong in the Word, knowing who you are in GOD is a faith builder and when you go to the throne of GOD you not only plea for mercy but will have a strong assurance that you will have your need met.

How should I pray? Paul said I will pray two ways I will pray with my understanding, and I will pray with the spirit.

Praying with your mind has certain problems, which are, the mind tries to concoct a prayer that will get an answer.

We try to believe, to ask in faith, quote scripture (this is helpful since GOD can’t remember what He said or promised) for the mind isn’t all that helpful unless it is a prayer of agreement where others hear and agree with what is being prayed.

Sometimes we make the mistake of thinking faith is of the mind when in actuality is of the heart. A strong relationship with GOD makes answered prayer more probable.

Praying in the spirit, why is this important? Why is this more effective than praying with the mind?

First it is prayed in the language of the inner man (spirit) given by the SPIRIT for that purpose.

Second there is a direct connection from your spirit to GOD’S spirit without any attempt to impress HIM with rhetoric and thought manipulation.

It is like an encrypted e-mail to GOD who automatically decrypts it. The prayer in the spirit is always a prayer, prayed in faith for doubt is of the mind.
