Having barely escaped the “Flapper era” where women wanted to be skinny and bound their breasts so they looked flat breasted - - I was exposed to the Hollywood “Sweater Girl” treatment led by Lana Turner.
As a small boy who insisted on solid food, I observed that mothers could suckle their offspring, and create a moment of serenity as baby would gently stroke their mother’s breast while satisfying their hunger.
The picture still remains in my mind of my wife feeding and bonding with our offspring in like manner, it was like peace had been personified.
Why anyone would be offended by the most natural act humanity could do, in public or not, shows a depravity of their psyche.
In this age of cutting the flesh and the disfiguring of the skin trying to overcome the feeling inferiority, there will continue to be rage in some form, the latest being - - “Free the breast”
I thought we had got by this idiocy in the sixties.
After viewing on the Internet some of the women marching in Venice California, one could only cry out, “Lord, have mercy, cover those things up.”
America is struggling with the darkness of soul, a battle it seems to be losing.
