The four rubber stamp Justices with the help of Justice Kennedy have effectively changed the document into an unstable rule of law.  

From this day forth, judgments will be made on personal bias instead of what the written document says.

David A. Strauss quote:

“The Constitution is supposed to be a rock-solid foundation, the embodiment of our most fundamental principles-that's the whole idea of having a constitution. “

Public opinion may blow this way and that, but our basic principles-our constitutional principles-must remain constant. Otherwise, why have a Constitution at all?

Even worse, a living Constitution is, surely, a loose manipulable Constitution.

If the Constitution is not constant-if it changes from time to time-then someone is changing it, and doing so according to his or her own ideas about what the Constitution should look like.

The "someone,” usually, is some group of judges.  So a living Constitution becomes not the Constitution at all; in fact it is not even law any more.

It is just some gauzy feeble ideas that appeal to the judges who happen to be in power at a particular time and that they agree together to impose on the rest of us.”

This successful attack on this protective document has been in the works for many years and is part of the demise of what was once a great nation.

Even those who consider present events to be a victory will eventually come to realize, a great harm to people’s rights has actually occurred.

As spiritual darkness is settling across America there is perhaps an unwanted opportunity to shine for Christ. It comes not without growing criticism and persecution. It is time to put on the Biblical armor provided for in the scripture. 

2 Corinthians 6:7  In truthful speech and in the power of God; with weapons of righteousness in the right hand and in the left.

Do not fear to speak the truth as GOD has proclaimed it.

We have arrived in history where the highest court has decreed that GOD and His Word to be null and void.

Their recent rulings have declared in a point of law that GOD and His words are irrelevant. 

Two years ago, in June 2013 the Supreme Court refused to limit the words “marriage” and “spouse” to heterosexual unions, invalidating the Defense of Marriage Act. This was a precursor of what has just occurred.

The war on the saints is accelerating and will be the lead article for many news agencies in the future.

Many political leaders have jumped on the band wagon and have sold their soul for a little deadly pottage.

The things that will soon follow will bring this country to its knees. All the while the leaders will be declaring the downfall has nothing to do with the judgments of GOD.

The ruling has all but assured who the next president will be and she will hasten the demise of this country with lies and a pandering spirit. The next eight years will be revolutionary and the face of the land will be changed.

The standing president declared; “America is not a Christian nation” and it seems he was right. The Supreme Court has decreed GOD is passé and has no relevancy in today’s world.

Jesus’ words; “They no not know what they do,” does not apply here for the court knew what they were doing and they used the vehicle of same sex marriage to accomplish it.

This law will be the final nail necessary to send millions to a lost eternity with their only hope being there is no GOD.

But the scripture declares without compromise or debate; the fool has said in his heart there is no GOD!

1 Thessalonians 5:23 Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Your justification is now a fact since you have been born again and are on your way to maturity.

Romans 8:1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, - - Now that is  good news.

I still remember my sinful condition before I received Christ as savior.

Isaiah said it well; Isaiah 59:10 “We are as dead men in desolate places”.  

Pervading darkness was my bed fellow, always with me and like most others, I couldn’t discern what my problem was I just knew something wasn’t right.

What a joy to find “The light of the world is Jesus." 

1Thessalonians 5:23 lays out the makeup of man, all men.

We are composed of three constituent parts. Spirit, Soul and Body.  Whether you are saved or not you are a trichotomy.  When you were saved your spirit received the indwelling Holy Spirit by whom you were redeemed.  His indwelling is so important because you couldn’t make it to heaven without him.

We are admonished in Ephesians 4:30 “And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed.”

The Holy Spirit has a full time job trying to keep you on the straight and narrow lest we wander.

The last verse of the song Come Thou Fount says in part;

Let that grace now like a fetter
Bind my wandering heart to Thee:
Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it,
Prone to leave the God I love.
Here's my heart, oh, take and seal it,
Seal it for Thy courts above.

Sad to say there are those who submit to the feelings of “Prone to wander” - - - - May it never be you.

1 Thessalonians 5:23  ISV  May the God of peace himself make you holy in every way. And may your whole being—spirit, soul, and body—remain blameless when our Lord Jesus, the Messiah, appears.

The Apostle Paul after establishing a number of churches said; 2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves.

Galatians 6:4 New International Version   “Each one should test their own actions. Then they can take pride in themselves alone, without comparing themselves to someone else,

As of late one or more notable Christians each week have bit the dust so to speak. They have come up short and the flesh eating bacteria call the social media attacks them as ravenous wolves.

Paul was facing similar problems in the churches he had founded.

Christians were not going on to maturity and were allowing all kinds of sins in their lives.

It is as if we are saying: “To hell with holiness I’m going to get mine and let grace cover my - -”

Paul’s writings were corrective for the most part, yes instructive at times but corrective always.

This being the case it behooves us to pay much attention to his Epistles.

The only thing that kept him from coming down much harder on his converts was his love for them as children.

For the next few days I will write about your whole being and call our attention to the function and failures of each part of our being as outlined by Paul.

Jesus Hanging Out with Friends

There was a movie where a girl took her twin brother’s place at a boy’s school, and the theory was no one could tell she was a girl.  Notwithstanding there was some difficulty during the locker room scenes.  As the story went on; she was just one of the boys.  

Today groups throughout the world are trying to reduce Christ to being just one of the boys.  Below just a sampling of different kinds of religious groups, all have their personal “inventor” for that is the best word I can think of to describe their creators.   

Hare Krishna, Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormonism, Transcendental Meditation, Theosophy, EST, The Unification Church, "Moonies" Christian Science, Unity, Astrology, Hinduism, Jainism, Buddhism, Confucianism Taoism, Shintoism, Zoroastrianism, Judaism, Islam, Sikhism, Atheism, Agnosticism, and Skepticism, Secular Humanism, and Existentialism to name a few.  

While some have all but excluded Christ from their belief system others have decided to reduce him to "Just one of the boys."  Islam, Mormonism, Jehovah witnesses and Unity have remade him into another image suitable for their taste.  

The Bible has a different take on this issue;

John 1:1-3  Before the world began, the Word (Jesus) was there. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was there with God in the beginning. Everything was made through him, and nothing was made without him.  

Jesus isn't "Just one of the boys" he is not only the MAIN man he is the ONLY man.  

Matthew 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.  

In a way I feel somewhat slighted because these want-a-be Christs that are showing up can't do squat, and still people flock to them hoping for some supernatural occurrence to happen. 

2 Timothy 3:5 Who have a form of God-worship and are far from his power; remove from you those who are such.

2 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus and there is only one book and that is the Bible.  

Give me the real Jesus as found in the Bible, God’s Holy Word.  He is the one who can truly change lives!!

HOLY COW 2

Holy Cow ??

 

I personally have known several missionaries to India, one of which was killed in a traffic accident in India.  In her early ministry she had adopted two throw away very young Indian girls. What a difference Christ meant to them as they grew up to be fine young Christian women.  Instead of being left to try to survive on the streets of Bombay they were raised by a loving “Auntie Eileen Edwards.”  

There is no shortage of deities available in that land where by nature the people want something bigger than themselves to worship.  

One of the better known Indians was Mohandas Gandhi who was educated in England at the University College London where he studied law. The Cow was venerated by Gandhi He said: "I worship it and I shall defend its worship against the whole world.” 

 

The central fact of Hinduism is cow protection.  Gandhi regarded her better than the earthly mother, and called her "The mother to millions of Indian mankind." It was said as he lay dying they brought a cow into his room where he grasped the tail while he died. 

There is a Bhishma saying: "Cows represent sacrifice. Without them, there can be no sacrifice…Cows are guileless in their behavior and from them flow sacrifices of milk and curds and butter.  Hence cows are sacred..."

 

Well to some they are “Holy Cow” but here in America they are steak and hamburger.

 

I don’t feel the need to degrade the Indian people’s beliefs but I have found a better way. 

Even the most educated people among us when left to their own devices will look for something to worship whether in a foreign land or here in America.  At the same time they will to often reject the one and only true GOD.  

 

I suspect that here in America we rival India’s god count.

 

The Indian people say they don’t worship the cow only venerate them which seem like splitting hairs.  

Prior to the temple’s destruction the Jews sacrificed certain animals and at times ate them. When Christ came as the lamb of GOD he died the death for all sinners of the world, past, present and future. Instead of being bound to that which can only keep you bound by sin he removes the sin nature and forgives the besetting sins.  

The Holy Cow neither has nor can do anything for me but the lamb of GOD accomplished it all.  

Where the one has failed the other has prevailed. Where one is dead the other is alive and well in the believer.  

I didn’t need the “Holy Cow,” what I needed was the “Holy Lamb of GOD” Jesus Christ.  

It is easy to forget to be thankful for what Christ has done for us but just thinking about the gods that other nations worship - - sobers me and stirs me to repent and give GOD the glory HE so richly deserves.

THE SPIRIT OF CONFUSION

 

 1 Corinthians 14:33  For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace…AKJV

Unless I’m confused there is a spirit of confusion pervading this land we live in. People are confused about all things that pertain to life. A phrase we used to hear years ago was, “I don’t know who I am.” Many went to psychiatrists who would try to help them through the so called discovery process to “find themselves.”

With all the accumulated knowledge that is available through trial and error today we are worse off than ever.

This spirit of confusion has people doing outrageous things, things they shouldn’t do. Case in point, trying to transform themselves from the obvious gender they are, into the opposite sex.

This spirit of confusion is by nature an unclean spirit.  A group of spirits Jesus had to deal with on several occasions.

As people give themselves over to the suggested power of the unclean spirits and yield themselves to it they will do the bizarre. They will be held captive for the rest of their lives having done the undoable.

People by the millions each day do things that they can’t explain why they did it. They respond to the act with the words, “I don’t know why I did it or why I said that.”

The answer may be found in understanding that we are spiritual beings as well as physical.

As such we respond to spiritual impulses from other spiritual beings.

There are myriads of different kinds of spirits and many are unclean spirits. These spirits are so able to harmonize with the person’s persona that they are undetectable save by the revelation knowledge of the Spirit of God.

The persons are so deceived they would fight to the death to deny there being the possibility of this is what is happening to them.

The primary way to detect one being acted upon by an unclean spirit is by observation.

To suggest such a thing is possible (people being influenced by such a spirit) will cause a mass denial by the populace.

Yet they know within this is a fact, because they see it acted out every day on television and the internet.

 John 4:24 KJV  God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

John 14:6  Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me"

BIG TROUBLE IN RIVER CITY by Christophobics

Awake thou who sleepest !

 

Recently the Duggers have been attacked by the Christophobics in the media and I suppose I can understand why they are so vehement in their attacks.

It is all about ratings and money, and oh yes, the hatred for all Christians.  One could only wonder why they allow themselves to be driven by an attitude of vehemence toward Christ and his followers.

The saying 24\7 indicates a full time operation without any breaks. Revelation 12:10b describes what is going on in the heavenlies 24\7 and what the future holds for our chief enemy; For the accuser of our brothers and sisters has been thrown down to earth--the one who accuses them before our God day and night.

This is a known fact that every move we make is being scrutinized by Satan and his cohorts and any error we make is brought to God’s attention and demands made that we be judged for them.

Job 1:7 And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? “Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, from going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.”

Further understanding of the process is found in 1 Peter 5:8 “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.”  I might add he has a measure of success which we don’t like to admit to.

The Duggers have been demeaned in every way possible for one reason and one reason only and that is because they are Christians.

Perhaps it would be apropos to bring in the words of Christ and say “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone” although doing that would thin out the crowd.

For all the critics I say let’s be fair (you are fair minded aren’t you) and tell all concerning your past leaving out nothing.

What are you hiding oh Christophobic?

Before I hear any more about the Duggers let me hear all of your dirty deeds starting preteen and continuing up till today. Speak about your raging hormones during your youth.

Tell us about your thoughts and sexual fantasies if you please. Every teen age boy I have ever known has lost his mind at one point or the other and only with great restraint has been able to resist doing something they shouldn’t have done (most… all have failed at some point).

Those who are spewing out their venom on the Duggers have a bitter fountain within from which they draw from.

So the gauntlet has been thrown down; either shut up about the Duggers or give us all the details of your sordid past.

I suspect that like the accusers of the adulteress spoken of in John 8:7-12 your own sin will silence you as you slink away into your hiding place.

 

 

ALL WHO ARE NOT PRESENT; SAY HERE



Present

I've been trying for some time to develop a life style that doesn’t require my presence. So said; G.B.Trudeau. 

There have been times when I have felt like that for a few minutes.  Especially during some trying times, a moment of embarrassment, or until the pain would go away both physical and mental from a bad moment.  

I was reminded of Jonah when he had his experience with the whale and his evangelist tour to Nineveh was contrary to his wishes.  

Jonah 1:2 “Get up and go to the great city of Nineveh. Announce my judgment against it because I have seen how wicked its people are."  

There are so many lessons we can profit from the book of Jonah but let it suffice to say he was in rebellion during the whole process and dissatisfied with the result. 

Hosea would probably agree with Trudeau for so much of his life was distasteful. 

First, Hosea was directed by God to marry a promiscuous woman of ill-repute,

Second, Hosea and his wife, Gomer, have a son. God commands that the son be named Jezreel, “The Valley of death.”

Third, the couples have a daughter. God commands that she be named Lo-Ruhamah; “Unloved or Pitied.”

 

Fourth, a son is born to Gomer. It is questionable whether this child was Hosea's, for God commands that his name be Lo-ammi or “Not mine.” 

While this was a metaphor for the relationship with Yahweh and Israel for it was acted out in the flesh by Hosea on a day by day process. 

Then there was the redemption process whereby Christ was required to come and be the lamb of GOD sacrificed for us all. He had to live it out and go through the pain and suffering required to accomplish salvation for all of mankind.  

Understanding that life must be lived and at times it will be unpleasant, it behooves one to take advantage of all GOD provides for us, and to reject anything that will rob us of GOD’S provision.  

The question “How then should I live?” is foremost and one each of us must answer for them-selves.  A good place to start is; Ephesians 5:15- 20 Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil.

 

So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord; always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father.

Our fellowship with GOD will produce joy in our hearts and love for one another.
